What I listen while I am composing this post
Lo que escucho mientras escribo este post:

I love tiny details, is part of how I see things in life. I love when I observe it in something, because I believe that details can transform what could seem dull into something beautiful and special, as well as instill with character and differentiation. And thinking about it during last few weeks, I came up with the idea to show you some pictures from my Lovely Detail Collection in Pinterest intersperse with words, stories and experiences by one person that I really admire and which biography I am reading nowadays.

In the manner of details for me define what is different and special in things, also I believe applicable for people. Those who for subtle reasons make her personality and philosophy of life distinct.

And is today when I am happy to tell you with lace, tulle, crochet, embroidery and precious stones, some text by Steve Jobs, not only because of gorgeous fabric caress your skin but also going deep inside, because of the words touch your mind.

"I have always felt attracted by arts since I was a child, but I also liked the electronics - said-. Then I read something told by one of my hero, Edwin Land, from Polaroid, about the importance of people who keep in between arts and science, so I decided that this was what I wanted to do". ( Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Introduction, page 17, last paragraph).

"Maybe know that I was adopted, make me be more independent, but never I have felt abandoned. I always though of myself as someone special. My parents made me feel special". ( Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Childhood, page 26, second paragraph).

Siempre he pensado que era especial, Mis padres me hicieron sentirme especial".           ( Extracto: Steve Jobs de Walter Isaacson. Infancia, página 26, segundo párrafo).

"50 year later, the fence still  surrounds the back yard and side of that house in Mountain View. While Jobs showed it to me, full of pride, he stroked the wall´s plank and remembered the lesson that his father etched deeply in his memory. According to his father, it was important having a great finishing touch in the rear of  wardrobes and fence, even though weren´t visible. He loved doing things  right. He was concerned for parts that you couldn´t see". (Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Childhood, page 27, second paragraph).

"Eichler did something great - said Jobs while we are taking a stroll in his neighborhood-. Their houses were elegant, cheap and good quality. Offered a nice design and simple style for people with low-incomes. They had amazing details, for instance the radial heating". When we were children there was carpet and the floor was always warm". (Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Childhood, page 28, second paragraph).

"All pieces from Heath Kits had a colour code, but the manual also explained the theory how everything worked - indicated Jobs-. Make you become aware of the fact that you could build and understand anything. Once you make assembled a pair of radios, then you saw a TV in the catalogue and said yourself: "I will be able to build something like this for sure", even though I didn´t know how to do it. I was very lucky, because since I was a child, not only my father but also those games made me believe that I could build anything". ( Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Childhood, page 39, third paragraph).

Woz, as he was known back then, asked about the resistor and the transistor there were in the house, and his father took a board to illustrate what they worked. " He explained to me what the resistor was, talking about atoms and electrons. He explained how the resistors worked when I was at second grade in school, and not talking about equations, but making me imagine them". Woz´s dad taught him something else that etched in his infantile personality and dysfunctional social skills: Never lie. "My father believed in being honest, absolute truthfulness". ( Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. The strange couple, page 46, second and third paragraph).

The minute I dropped out, I could stop taking the required classes that didn´t interest me, I begin dropping in on the ones that looked far more interesting, said. Between them, there was a calligraphy instruction, he felt attracted because he noticed that throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed. "There I learnt about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great". It was beautiful, historical artistically subtle in a way that science can´t capture and I found it fascinating". ( Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. The drop out, page 69, first and second paragraph).

It reinforced my sense of what was important—creating great things instead of making money, putting things back into the stream of history and of human consciousness as much as I could.” Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. The dropout, page 70, first paragraph).

Despite his arrogance (or perhaps because of it), he was able to charm Atari´s boss. "He was more philosophical than the other people I worked with". Bushenell recalled. "We used to discuss free will versus determinism. I tended to believe that things were much more determined, that we were programmed. If we had perfect information, we could predict people´s actions. Steve felt the opposite. "That outlook accorded with his faith in the power of the will to bend reality" Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Atari and India, page 73, second paragraph).

"He had the attitude that he could do anything, and therefore so can you. He put his life in my hands. So that made me do something I didn´t think I could do".  It was the brighter side of what would become known as his reality distortion field. " If you trust him, you can do things," Holmes said. " If he´s decided that something should happen, then he´s just going to make it happen". Text from: Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson. Atari and India, page 82, last paragraph, page 83, first and second paragraph).

Your time is limited, so don´t waste it living someone else´s life. Don´t be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people´s thinking. Don´t let the noise of other´s opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary. (From Steve Jobs´s speech).

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven´t found it yet, keep looking. Don´t settle. As with all matters of the heart, you´ll know when you find it.  (From Steve Jobs´s speech).

Si no lo has encontrado todavía, sigue buscando. No te conformes.
